Last August I got laid off. I looked really really hard for a job. So many interviews. No offers.
Then my son-in-law (who’s an accountant) told me I didn’t have to wait until 59 1/2 to draw from my IRA. Wait, what? It’s true. There are a couple of ways to do it, and you can Google them if you like. I did.
So now I’m retired, and it’s soooo great. I’ve done some painting. I’ve done some singing. I did some physical therapy.
Best of all, I’ve had time to start writing crochet patterns. It was a lot of fun doing the afghan for my brother. But I sure didn’t write down what I was doing as I went along — who had time? Guess what? Now I do. So I have a sampler squares afghan in testing now to publish later this year.

I’ve got a couple of other things in the works to publish whenever they’re ready. Holiday ornaments I made for my brother. A sampler stripes afghan I’m doing for my daughter. These things I started after I retired and have been writing down as I go. Holiday booklet to be published in October. Probably. Maybe. I hope.

I’m not gonna lie. Life is amazing right now.
