Last year, when I worked out how to make tiny crochet ornaments for my brother’s little tree, I wrote up the pattern for the one of my favorite snowflakes, and uploaded it to ravelry as a free download.
This year (as I may have mentioned earlier), I’m working on a booklet of 12 of these tiny ornaments. The new booklet is called “Tiny Stars and Snowflakes” and will be published no later than October 15th.
In the process of testing patterns for the new booklet, I’ve reworked the snowflake of free pattern fame to be a bit easier to make. Snowflake 1A is the free pattern. But I like both snowflakes, so I am including both in the booklet I’m publishing, along with other ornaments and more detailed instruction.

Here’s a photo of the first 3 ornaments I actually blocked and stiffened today. The snowflake on the right definitely needs a rework. But that’s all part of the process, right?

The published booklet contains charts for the more difficult ornaments, and photos for added clarity. Plus also, templates for blocking. Because blocking a 5-pointed star without a template is not going to go well.
If you love to crochet, I hope you enjoy this. And if you do try it, let me know how you like it. I’d love to see your pictures!
