It’s been a long road with this one. But absolutely, 100% worth it. If you’ve followed along with me, you’ve seen bits and pieces of it.

And who could for get the whole box stitch saga? (Well, you probably can. But I never will.)

So why do I say it was worth it? Because of how much I learned along the way? Because the resulting blanket is beautiful? Well, those things are nice, but not the true win. The real win? Well…

My daughter got in town yesterday for a Thanksgiving visit, and I gave her the blanket. She wrapped herself up in it and twirled around. She looked over the stripes, and noticed, “Every one is a different stitch!” She brought it over to husband and asked what his favorite stitch was (and yes, he had an opinion.) She asked me to point out which stitches I made up.

I’m pretty sure she likes it. That’s the win.
