This is a great one. I have every plan to actually make something for me. Not just something, but a large afghan for our living room. Last year… or maybe the year before? I made my daughter K a striped sampler.

Oddly enough, It’s recently come to my attention that we have hardly any afghans in our living room. How did that happen? (Three guesses.)

So I’m going to make one similar to K’s, with colors in my own choices for our room. They’re pretty neutral. That is so say, pretty and neutral.

The plan is to start with the notes on K’s… rearrange some stripes a bit, drop a couple I wasn’t crazy about, maybe make some different numbers of rows. And try to write down carefully what I did. So maybe, just maybe, I’ll have a new pattern next fall. Possibly that’s optimistic, I don’t know.
